Privacy Policy
At PulseBar, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we handle your data when you use the PulseBar macOS application and our website.
1. Data Collection & Storage
PulseBar is designed to be a "local-first" application. Most of your data never leaves your machine.
- Meta API Credentials: Your Meta Access Tokens and Ad Account IDs are stored securely on your local Mac (using the macOS Keychain where applicable). We do not transmit these credentials to our own servers.
- Ad Performance Data: Data fetched from the Meta Marketing API is stored temporarily in memory or locally to display your dashboard. This data is never sent to our servers.
- License Information: When you purchase PulseBar Pro, your license key and basic device information (hashed) are sent to our licensing provider, Lemon Squeezy, to verify your subscription.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the data collected for the following purposes:
- To monitor your Meta ad campaigns and provide real-time status updates in your menu bar.
- To verify your subscription status and enable Pro features.
- To provide customer support when you reach out to us.
3. Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
- Meta Platforms, Inc.: PulseBar communicates directly with the Meta Marketing API to fetch your ad stats. This interaction is subject to Meta's privacy policy.
- Lemon Squeezy: Our payment and licensing provider. They handle your payment information securely and provide us with license verification services.
- Meta Pixel: Our website uses the Meta Pixel to track conversion events (like downloads or checkouts) to optimize our marketing efforts.
4. Security
We prioritize the security of your information. Because PulseBar runs locally, your primary security comes from your own macOS security settings. We recommend using PulseBar only on trusted devices.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
